First of all, you are advised to draw your expected canoe outline on tracing or graphing paper. Before drawing, you should know that the basic components of a canoe, like sides, hull, gunwales, back panel, deck and middle frame and seat and so forth. Second, you should cut out the outlines of the canoe pieces. Ensue all the pieces fit together and no pieces is too large or too small to assemble the canoe correctly by taping each piece together. Disassemble the pieces and trace them onto your balsa wood sheets. Cut out the pieces of balsa wood that will form the canoe by using a utility knife.
Third, glue the two sides of the canoe and glue them together at the front ends to form a point. This is the front of the canoe. You are advised to place the middle frame in between the sides, halfway down the length of the sides, and glue it into place. You should attach the sides to the back panel of the canoe by glue and allow the glue to dry naturally.
Fourth, after the above steps having been accomplished, you should glue the frame of the balsa wood canoe to the hull, then let the glue dry completely. Glue the gunwales into place, as well as the canoe's seat.
